A beautiful smile is important to your health, hygiene, confidence, and self-esteem. At the Princeton Dental Group office, Dr. Reena M. Varghese, MSEd, MSc can help you have the most attractive, natural-looking smile possible through advanced prosthodontic care.
Prosthodontic Treatment Options
Prosthodontics, or prosthetic dentistry, is an area of dentistry that concentrates on the aesthetic restoration and replacement of teeth to their proper form and function. In order to restore your smile, Dr. Varghese may recommend the following treatments:
All On 4® - Permanent Teeth in one day!
Using state-of-the-art technology, All-on-4® treatment concept replaces traditional dentures - permanent teeth in a day! It is a revolutionary concept providing patient with fully functioning teeth on dental implants in a single procedure that is completed in one day.
Bonding is a conservative way to repair slightly chipped, discolored, or crooked teeth. During dental bonding, a white filling is placed onto your tooth to improve its appearance.
Bonding can usually be completed in one visit at our office. However, bonding can stain and is easier to break than other cosmetic treatments, such as porcelain veneers. If it does break or chip, tell your doctor. The bonding can generally be easily patched or repaired in one visit.
A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth with artificial teeth, looks great, and literally bridges the gap where one or more teeth may have been. Your bridge is bonded onto surrounding teeth for support.
Crowns are used to improve your tooth’s shape or to strengthen a tooth. Crowns are most often used for teeth that are broken, worn, or have portions destroyed by tooth decay. Porcelain crowns are most often preferred because they mimic the translucency of natural teeth and are very strong.
If you are missing one tooth, several teeth or all your teeth, dental implants is a great way to replace your missing teeth, or be used to anchor dentures that tend to shift when you talk or chew. If properly maintained, dental implants can last a lifetime!
Dentures are natural-looking replacement teeth that are removable. Full dentures are given to patients when all of the natural teeth have been removed. Partial dentures are attached to a metal frame that is connected to your natural teeth and are used to fill in where permanent teeth have been removed. Dentures are easy to remove and can be cleaned outside of the mouth.
Implant Supported Dentures
If the fit of your conventional dentures is a concern, removable implant-supported dentures can be a beneficial option. Removable implant-supported dentures are attached to dental implants, but can be removed daily for cleaning.
With veneers, you can easily correct your teeth’s imperfections to help you have a more confident, beautiful smile. Veneers are natural in appearance, and they are a perfect option for patients wanting to make minor adjustments to the look and feel of their smile.
